XP can't browse NT domain resources

Our company runs on a NT 4.0 domain. I recently had to
connect an employee's laptop to our network. Just
getting the XP laptop to join the domain was a chore.
However, now it logs onto the domain. BUT when you click
on the domain to see the other computers/resources, it
says the user doesn't have permission. I was logged in
as the network Admin.

I'm not finding a resolution to this problem in my
searches. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Bev

Did you register the laptop with the server?

I am having the same problem. XP Pro machines with SP1a
can not browse NT 4.0 machines with SP6a through network
neighborhood. The NT 4.0 workstations can not browse the
XP machines either.

The server is an NT 4.0 PDC and the WINS database shows
records for both the XP and NT workstations.

Has anyone been able to get XP workstations to browse
properly on an NT 4.0 network?

Thanks!

Eddie
