Hi there,

I was trying to build a wireless network which has two PCs, one desktop
running XP home, and another Laptop running XP Pro. Something must have went
wrong after I did some configuration through Network Setup Wizard, I can not
ping 127.0.0.1 from either PC. But both PCs are otherwise running fine, can
still dial-up to Internet like before, OS is not complaining anything,
either.

Although I do _not_ know whether this problem had existed before I installed
wireless network adaptors, it is hard to imgine two PCs both fail pinging
127.0.0.1

How should I go and fix them? I am thinking about removing the network
adaptor and drivers and repair XP OS. But I doubt that would work. Any
alternatives? (I hope that I would _not_ have to reinstall the OS)

Thanks.

Failure to ping 127.0.0.1 is probably caused by an improperly
configured firewall program. Un-install (don't just disable) all
firewalls (Norton Internet Security, ZoneAlarm, etc) while
troubleshooting.
