Last week, I spent about 90 minutes on the phone with
Microsoft getting my system to restart after a corrupted
configuration. After this, I get a message during
boot "cannot logon because of account restrictions". I
could click OK, and Windows loaded. Now, the error message
flashes for a fraction of a second, proceeds to the
Welcome screen, and hangs. If I'm quick enough, I can
catch the message with the pause key, and click the OK.
Microsoft says to not use "null" passwords. It makes no
difference what I use. They also recommend using gpedit,
which is not on XP Home? How can I get rid of this error
message?
