Hello Everyone,
I just got this new laptop from Dell which has Vista. I have a network with 5
other computers on it, 4 run XP and one Win98. They can all see each other on
the network and share files. They also show an icon for the Vista computer.
However, the Vista computer cannot see them, that is, no Icons are displayed for
the other computers. How can I correct this?
Thank You,

I did all that, but to no avail. I have a D-Link DI-624. I put in all those TCP
and UPC allowances on its internal firewall. The Vista computer still does not
see any computers and the the other computers are denied access when they click
on the Icon for the Vista computer, and none of the shared folders in the Vista
computer show up. Putting in all those elaborate permissions does slow things
down, I will say that.
What else can I try?
Is there any possibility that because my router is now several years old, it
just is not compatible with Vista?
Thank You,
-plh
