I have seen so many people with problems with the XP Browser service - I have
20 computers on a Workgroup and despite having read so many posts and seem to
have tried everything including enabling Netbios over TCP that This problem I
really cannot solve.
I don't have lots of time to keep trying many things, but I am VERY suprised
that with such a high level of problems in this field that MICROSOFT have not
done what any responsible software company would do and create (at very
little expense to themselves) a UTILITY that can be used on each PC on the
network to look for the problems that make this happen.
It is causing my business unnecessary time wasting not being able to view
the computers and other devices on the network, which we could all do until a
Windows update some months ago after which we could not.
I am sick of this screen - The List of servers . . . I am tearing my hair
out - is there any sure way of getting it working - - and I thought that I
was an IT professional until this problem came along!
