Well, I loaded the 94.24 drivers last week when they came out. My resolution
worked fine till this morning. So I went about 5 days with no problem. I
don't know what is causing this, I run at 1440x900 32bit 75hrz. It started at
800x600 16bit 60hrz. Is there a file I can look at that windows uses during
bootup? When xp gets to the welcome screen I can tell if it's the wrong res
or not.

No it was doing it before the new drivers. I had not had this problem before
till about a month ago. I had only updated the directx 9c to the Apr.
version. The next morning it was fine, then that afternoon when I booted up
it started. I've rolled back prior to the directx 9c install, loaded beta
drivers went back to the 93.71. It would be fine for a few days then start
again. I'm just wondering what windows xp looks at at bootup to tell it what
the resolution is. I don't use any resolution but 1440x900 32bit 75hz.
Before my flat screen I used 1280x1024 32bit 75hz.

Are you using the native resolution for your flat screen?
You obtained drivers from device manu, or mobo if on board?
Is there anything shown in Event Viewer?
