xp and xp2: how do i make a 'slipstream' disk for emergency

really need this, all i have is xp, and no good when i pop in to a pc to try
an do a fix.
i hear u can make one, how do i do this in plain somewhat laymans term? what
size disc will be enough? and booo to all those vebdors not providing a
diskette
