I have two desktops and a laptop that I need to connect
via a wireless network.

One desktop is running XP Home and the other XP Pro.
Both have seperated broadband connections.

The laptop is running XP Pro.

I have run the ICS wizard on one of the PC's to share one
of the broadband connections with the laptop but get an
error message saying that the IP address is alreday in
use.

I am running Blackice firewall software on the PC who's
broadband connection I am trying to share.

Can anyone help a network novice out of the trouble?

Hi Frank,

You didn't mentioned wheather these machines are using
either a static or if DHCP is present. If these are
static ip addresses, try assigning an unused ip address
to the network adapter. If you obtain an ip address
automatically, then try opening the command prompt and
typing "ipconfig/release" then "ipconfig/renew" (without
quotes).

Hi Frank;
Give us a clue as to what you are running for your wireless network.
If, as I suppose from your problem, you have a router in the mix then you
don't use ICS. The router and the ICS both probably use the same IP address
block.
Repost to this or a new thread and give enough info that somebody can try to
help.
