Hi,

I'm using a internet keyboard (Cicero, I think it's FutureShop's house brand
(in Canada), if that means anything) with XP Pro, which I had previously
bought for use with a Windows 98 system.

The keyboard has all sorts of buttons for setting volume, starting the
calculator and so on.

It came with software that could program the keys to do all that stuff, but
I never bothered to install it on XP. There were drivers for W2000, but none
for XP (on the web or otherwise).

But the buttons work anyway! I can change volume and do all kinds of stuff,
so there seems to be native support for this sort of keyboard in XP.

Is there a way I can remap the buttons in XP? I poked around Accessories
menus and the control panels, but I don't see anything there.

The drivers for XP and 2000 tend to be the same, in fact
I have rarely found that 2000 drivers don't work with XP
as the OS's are far closer than say 98 or me and 2000
give it a shot.. I would

I'll probably try the W2K install, but I was hoping to find out what the
scope of XP's native support for internet keyboards was. I mean, it's kind
of peculiar, sort of half there.

Found it!

Turns out you can change the buttons using tweakui, go to Explorer | Command
Keys.

I knew there was a way, no need to install crappy 3rd party drivers.
