xp and server 2000 poor performance problems

recently upgrades to the servers and workstations took
OS's to XP workstation w/ access 2002 and data being
served on access 2002 hosted on server 2000 sp2 within
the same subnet, but some of these forms/process are
taking as long as 15 seconds to load.... it is painfull

simple file sharing is off, any other tips? the
developers/vendors are stymied, and this all worked
faster in win98 environment... someplace overhead is
occuring...

Just curious. What client OSs and network server OSs were you
previously running? Win 9x?
