xp and playing rogue squadron

I have the EA game, "Star wars ROgue squadron 3 d " on a cd. Since a
installed a DVD drive on top of the cd drive, drive D is the CD,drive F is
the DVD, drive E being a partition of main disk C. Now when I try to play
rogue squadron I receive the followin message:"could not initialize HAL" I
would like to have a solution to fix this.Thanks in advance.
