Greetings --

Contact the scanner's manufacturer to obtain WinXP-specific device
drivers.

scanner which is using the parallel port.

Do a google search for userport.zip and run it to gain user level
access to the parallel port. This may allow the older software to
run. Install the old software and then use an application like
IrfanView find it as a twain input device. I've got an old
microtek E-3 scanner that XP sees, but is clueless to load. The
IrfanView photo application sees the scanner and it works just
perfect. Remember that the scammer needs to be plugged into the
parallel port and turned on when the computer is booted.
