Hello, I've just purchased a new computer with XP and I
haven't been able to install Norton SystemWorks. I keep
getting the same error message, concerning nsw1.cab on
the disc. The file is on the disk, is accessible, and
I've communicated with Symantec who says it's an XP
problem. I've even uninstalled, returned the first disk
in case it was faulty and gotten a second one, with the
same eventual results. Has anyone else had problems
installing SystemWorks?

How to use the Norton SystemWorks cleanup utility (SymClean)

Download and run the above Symantec cleanup utility, reboot your computer,
logon with Administrator privileges, then proceed to install Norton 2002 or 2003
only.

I installed Norton SystemWorks 2003 on a WinXP Home system with no
problems. Everything works just fine.

Regards, hawk

I also installed Sysytem works 2003 with no problems. I read that 2003 was
designed FOR Win XP, I had 2001 but needed to upgraded anyway. I got mine
on ebay for under $10.

Good Luck,

Lynn
