PC Network Prey

I am trying to set up a network between my XP and ME PCs.
From the ME, I can see the XP workgroup and access the XP
files. While on the XP, I cannot see the ME and, of
course, cannot map to the ME files. The folders on the ME
have been set up as shared. The firewall is disabled on
the XP. I used the XP network assistant disk on the ME.
I have read workgroup questions that have the same
problem...still to no avail. One thing I wanted to check
was a recommendation to check the subnet mask, ie, both
should be runnning the same one. How do I check that
(with specifics)? Any other offers of assistance would be
greatly helpful. If anybody has detailed instructions for
setting up a network between an XP and an ME, that would
be the ideal. Thanks in advance.

ME uses NETBUI. XP does not install the drivers for it,
and thus does not use it by default. These files are
included on your install disk, though. Has a text file
with instructions. After installing NETBUI and rebooting
your computer, you should be able to see files both ways.

Thanks Mike for your help. Out of all the help I have
received from Newsgroup participants and the many hours I
have spent trying to figure this out, nobody (nor sites)
has mentioned that. My problem is I don't have an install
disk. Can you help waith ideas? Thanks.
