XP and Firewalls

Mary

Using Windows XP, SP2, fully updated.

After reading recommendations here that we should not use the internet as an
administrator user, I created a second limited user.

Then I installed Commodo firewall, but it will not allow that user to access
some web sites. Example: In Pogo Games, I can get to the first page of a
game, but I cannot get to the page where the game is actually played.

I have emailed Commodo about this; you are saying "Well, then are you here?"
Because I try to follow advice I find here, that's why! (big evil grin)

When I accessed this newsgroup from a browser, I found a button makred
"threads", which allowed me to do more research on my own before writing
you. I can't find a "thread search" here. Can you help me out?

Thanks one and all

Hi Mary , I use Comodo and it allows me to go wherever I need to . It
does occasionaly throw up an allow/not allow but that is if I`m using
new software . If you can`t get to the next page , it`s probably your
browser ( if it`s IE say no more : ) ) .

I access this newsgroup from Agent newsreader .

If you want to do more research try Google - ing .

That recommendation is absolutely idiotic. Do you have any idea how many
computers are owned and operated by a single individual? And how many
individuals are administrators? My experience------never once had a problem.
