Hello,
I'm trying to set up a demo environment. I need to show a
client/server environment. I need to be able browse to a web site
hosted on my Windows 2000 Server computer from my XP computer. I
tried to create a workgroup called home. I could see the XP computer
from the W2K machine but could not see W2K from the XP machine. My
local area connection for W2K has "client for MS networks", "File and
print sharing", and TCP/IP. Nothing else.
I tried to set up the W2K server as the DNS server, which did not
help.
These computers will NOT have Internet access. Can someone tell me
how to set this up or send me a link that explains it? Please let me
know if I should repost to another group, it seemed to be a Windows
2000 network configuration issue but I could be wrong.
Thanks, Ben
