Hi. I just bought a computer at an auction with XP home
installed on it. I'm a 98 user, so this is a bit
different for me. Anyways, all the files and programs are
administrator protected and I'm not sure what to do to get
rid of the administration and make myself administrator.
I tried installing a program which of course I could not.
I'm not even sure that I could reinstall Windows XP
because of my limited access. HELP!
Thanks :-)

Boot into Safe Mode and log in as Administrator. It's 99.9% probable (if XP
was pre-installed) that the password is blank.
