Xp adding a period after username for Dial-Up

I have had this start happening in recent weeks where XP
is addinhg a period to the user names for people dialing
up with either modems or pppoe connections. The usernames
are entered as username but come through our radius
servers as username.

Also no matter what you put in for the username it always
ends in a period. I had a client completely delete out and
backspace out their username and had it put in as
(e-mail address removed) and the name came through as
(e-mail address removed).

Any thoughts? This only started happening a few weeks ago
and I have had it happen to about 8 people now.

check ur computer for spyware.
use ad-aware from www.lavasoftusa.com and clean ur system
then enable firewall and keep ur antivirus and updates upto date.
