i ahve posted this question in a local forum with no
answer on how MS can have more control over a router then
the routers password can have.
the problem (and i guess it is growing) is that when you
disable the internet access to children by disabling the
network with in a router (Linksys) a child can
simply "enable" the interent access though
Windows "network and dial-up connections" screen by simply
right clicking and then hitting "enable". this completely
by-passes the router's password and allows the kids to get
on when ever they want.
MS needs to change this or have better help to get this
fixed. i would call MS directly but of course i would have
to pay a fee for a problem that everyone is bound to have
(i live in a town of 3,600 people 4 hours from any big
city. i am sure this is happening elsewhere if it is
happening in my little town).
thank you for any help.
