I just downloaded and installed this program which claims to be FREE
FREE FREE...

It does a scan of your system and tells you what
spyware/adware/malware it's found then prompts for a registration key
to remove. Free my ass!

XoftSpy 3.1 2004 Edition = scamware!

Thanks for the heads-up on these bozos. Ad-Aware and Spybot ARE truly
freeware and remove those pesky bots and cookies. Spywareblaster is also
free and claims to prevent the little buggers from getting into your system
in the first place. I downloaded the free version 3.0 of Spywareblaster and
so far it seems to be a good program. J

They mention it's "FREE" seven times on their page and nowhere do they
say anything price for a key to make it functional. Very misleading!

Adaware, Spybot and Hijackthis are actual freeware and do a good job. I
won't waste my dollars on this.
