when a message can't be found on the server, xnews offers (paraphrase) "do you wanna search deja/google" command. this
creates sends old an oldstyle google groups URL to google. however i drag the news ID to the search box, click search button,
and google shows the message.

Xnews passes the entire Message-ID, including the angled brackets,
to Google; Google's new beta interface does not accept them with
brackets intact. Maybe Google will fix this eventually, maybe not.
Until they switch the world to the new interface, you can use their
..ca or .uk or .it servers. Looks like you are closest (too close ;)
to Canada, so in the [Misc] section of xnews.ini, add

DejaQuery=http://groups.google.ca/groups?as_umsgid=%m

DejaQuery=http://groups.google.ca/groups?as_umsgid=%m

Fantastic. I didn't even look to see if this was in one of the ini files. I assumed the 'deja syntax' was-coded into xnews... but, no... nice...
