Why would you be irate?

Did your computer seller agree to load Excel or any Office application on your
computer?

In that case, you should be irate and go back to seller and get what you paid
for.

Otherwise............

Excel is not by default included with Windows XP Pro or Home.

It is a separate Application, either stand-alone or part of MS Office Suite.

In either case Excel would have to be purchased and installed.

If you do not have Excel, you can download a Viewer which will allow you to
view and print but not alter an Excel file.

You can download an Excel viewer from here....

http://office.microsoft.com/downloads/2000/xlviewer.aspx

It will allow you to View and/or Print Excel workbooks without having Excel
installed.

Instructions at site.
