I am trying to transfer mu files from an old XP computer to a new one.
I tried using the Transfer Wizard and wound up with a folder called
"from old computer" on the root of my C: drive, which has a file
in it called "SaveData.MIG" which is about 9GB. It appears
that the Wizard pulled all the pertinent data from the old XP
computer, but never "broke it out" of the saved file.
Is there a way I can unpack the .MIG file to finish the process?
Thanks in advance.

Running the File and Settings Transfer wizard on your old XP computer should
have created a folder named USMT2.UNC. Having a folder named "from old computer"
which contains a "SaveData.mig" file would indicate that you used Vista's
Windows Easy Transfer feature. Perhaps you could provide more detail on exactly
what steps you took when attempting to transfer your music files.

From a personal standpoint, I've found it a lot easier and more reliable to
transfer the actual files over a network from an old computer to a new one than
to rely on the FAST wizard or Windows Easy Transfer.

Good luck
