Xerox Tektronix Phaser 550 error 12

Hi

I think I may need a replacement scanner unit, based on what I saw at
xerox.com. I need to check cable connections. I need to know what part
of the guts of the printer I need to be investigating to look for
disconnected cables--any pictures or illustrations available?

What about a service manual--is one available electronically or (ugh!)
hardcopy somewhere?

Is there a group of printer techs who know the Phaser somewhere that can
offer advice?

Know where I can get a scanner unit if I confirm that that's the culprit?

I'm reaching--any help is welcome, of course.

I don't have this manual but you can buy a CD that has it, go to
http://www.manuals4you.com/xerox.htm
If you e-mail them they will allow you to download the manual while the CD is
mailed to you.
