When any machine on the network sends a job to the Phaser 8400N, there
is a significant delay before the job finally prints (~1 minute). This
did not used to happen, but months ago the problem sprung up and I
don't know what I changed.
The printer is connected directly to a Linksys Wireless G Router
WRT54GL.
I gave it a static IP address on the network of 192.168.1.200 I can
login to the printer through a browser at this address and access any
of its features without any delay. Ping also responds immediately.
Today I discovered that if I disconnect my DSL Modem (Siemens
Speedstream 4200) from the router, and power cycle (reset) the router,
the delay goes away entirely. However, plugging the modem back in
makes the delay return right away.
Any router or modem or printer settings I can change to fix this? Why
is it happening?
Thanks for the help printer whizzes.
