I am interested in a color laser printer for my office and was looking
at the Xerox Phaser 6130. I can buy the unit for about $300 and was
wondering if anyone has any experience with this unit that is quite
small (my primary criterion) and can print at 12 ppm color/ 16 ppm
black. I know the replacement cartridges are about $80 each (4 would
be equivalent to the cost of the printer). I am not interested in
printing photgraphs but require color.

What gives with the memory expansion price on these units? They want
over $700 for a 512 MB expansion to the 128 MB that comes with the
printer. Is there any source of lower cost memory?

Any feedback appreciated.

It's standard laptop memory. I put 1GB into my Phaser 6180 last year;
they wanted $600, I did it for $60 or less.

Wait until you get the printer, then simply open it up and look. You'll
see.
