Xerox M750 does not print with xp serv pack 1

Has anyone any suggetions / remedies / links / advice, how to get a xerox m760 to print with win xp service pack 1, apparently xerox.com states xp has a compatible driver already installed.

Would using a usb cable be better than using a standard printer cable?

Would appreciate some help.

USB is faster than LPT ports. If the m760 (or m750) has a USB connection,
it will be faster than parallel. Does the printer and cable work on
another machine?

will have to try it on another pc, although prior to installing xp it worked quite well with win 98 installed on the computer, could i have created a problem with loading xp, even with the compatibility section it still does not work.

No I have used the M750 on XP and it worked fine.
