Xclef HD-800 opinions?

I'm helping (?) my wife choose her first portable, large-capacity MP3
player. One prime candidate is the Xclef HD-800, 20 GB. Anyone here
with first hand experience please?

Never heard of them. Stick with a top brand, such as iRiver, Apple, Samsung,
Creative, Digitalway (MPIO), etc.
The iRiver iHP-120 is the best digital audio player on the market, IMHO. I've
owned one for six months. You can often find the 40GB (iHP-140)version for not
that much more.

In a review of 18 models, PC Pro's July issue rates the Xclef HD-800
second to the iRiver iHP-120. And it's 26UKP less (about 48 USD). And
has 'the best navigation on show', which is an important factor in
this case. But we're still hovering between the two...
