I've read about the xbox gaming pad in a few threads recently, and I wondered what it was like? I can imagine it would be good for racing games and Assassins Creed, but is it good for other genres?

I've got £45 in game vouchers, so I'm thinking something like this might be a good purchase :thumb:

Cheers V_R, that's cheaper than most places I've seen it :thumb:

edit: ignore that, found it at play.com inc delivery for £18 :D

I mainly play FPS games, but for something like lego star wars or racing games, I think this will be ideal :)

I got one from Play.com recently, the corded one.

Next best thing to a steering wheel and fine for some rpg's.

No better or no worse than my Logitech cordless rumblepad, but a damn site cheaper :)

It's a good product.

Got it ordered

Thank you to you both for the thumbs up :thumb:

Expect a review of it in a few weeks ;)

It's been dispatched today, so might get here sometime this week. I can't wait :D

Nice, now go download TM Nations forever and add me (V_R) then we can go racing!! :D

Once the pad arrives I'll install it and give it a go online :D

I didn't mention it previously but I couldn't get my joypad (Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2) to work with Assassin's Creed on the machine in my sig. Not at all, it just wouldn't recognise it although it's working with several other games on the same machine.

So out of curiosity I installed Assassin's Creed on my AMD machine with the X-Box pad and it works. Only problem is I couldn't remap any of the buttons. Still, the default settings are actually quite good although I'm still a bit miffed.

Aye, I guess you're right.

Sometimes, just sometimes, alright, very occasionally, I think maybe consoles have something to offer ;)

Arrived today, works great :)

I can see why you guys like this!
