Hi,
I have tried to install a Asus AX800XT PE in two different systems
now. In one of the systems I also tried to reinstall Windows. The
problem I have is listed on ATIs Web-site, but I can't get the
solution to work. In the same systems I have used other ATI-based
boards, e.g. a X800 Pro from Sapphire.
The problem is in a way this:
http://www.ati.com/support/infobase/4621.html -- I get the same error
message (Record not found on MSI.DB -- well, the real one is actully
spelled wrong: Record not find on MSI.DB).
I have tried with everything from Cat 4.6 to 4.9, and the 8.07 beta
and the latest Omega-drivers. Nothing seems to work -- same
errormessage (well, not with the Omega-drivers, but they would work
either).
The systems I have tried the card in both have Windows XP with SP2.
The motherboards in these systems are Intels own 875P-board in one,
and Asus SK8V in the other.
The message from ATI is related to when there have been ATI-based
products in the PC earlier -- since I reinstalled on the system that
had this, and the other never had a other ATI-based product, this
don't seem to be the problem.
Have tried searching through some forums and it seems like others also
have this problem with different types of ATI-based boards.
Any suggestions?
