I have a Sony Vaio Desktop with Media Center 2005 installed. The computer
had an ASUS x300 installed and i tried to upgrade to ATI Radeon x700 pro.
The card is pci express and fits fine into the slot. The computer when
booting says "no video signal" and i cannot even get into the bios. Sony
support is pathetic and I can get no answer from ATI.

Any suggestions?

thanks

Rob,

I have a new Dell Dimension 8400 that came with a PCIe Ati x300 and
upgraded to an Ati x700 PCIe, I have the same problem where my DVI
flat panel shows no signal on boot up. Once the card is initialized in
Windows the DVI signal becomes active and I can use it.

ATI support has been less then helpful, mostly stating that my flat
panel is the cause. Which is not possible as I have used it with 4
other DVI based video cards with no problems.

Let me know if you acquired a solution.

He guys... anyone find a resolution to this? I'm having similiar
problems. Got an x700 and a ecs 915p-a mobo. Can't get a signal to
the monitor. Everything seems to power up, just 'no signal' to the
monitor.
Thanks
-Dan
