I think I read something in the past about Radeons having superior TV
out over Nvidia cards. I doubt things would have gotten worse.

Yeah me read that to. But Nvidias drivers are better. Evens out i
suppose. I just need to know how the component on the X1800 XL holds
up. Does it use a VIVI cable Din to Component or do i need to use some
kind of adaptor ?

Thanks.

Ihave read that ATIS picture quality is better than Nvidias.

The X1800XL should come with all the available accessory cables, including
the component adaptor. In the case of the component adaptor, a 3 inch cable
connects in one end to the VIVO port (looks like S-Video with more pins) of
the X1800XL while the other end contains female component connectors.

I've always been impressed with ATI's TV-out support and my X1800XT is no
exception.

Also, NVIDIA drivers are not "better" than ATI anymore. That stigma went out
the window 2 years ago. Get with the program.

Was going to get an X1300 for my media centre PC to :)

X1300 is a great little card for that sort of thing. I would also use an
X1300 if I were going to build a media center PC.

Might not have to get a X1300 if Leadtek give me the bios to enable
compoent with the 80 Nvidia drivers.

Stil want the X1300 though for Video Encodeing. The thing is i would
prob put it in my HTTP system anyways. For the better picture.

GEEEZ iam screwed more money out of my pocket :)

Anyone one want to by a used 6600gt :)
