Now there are 3 versions - X1300, X1300Pro, X1300XT.

I need something that's good for Photoshop and simple video editting.
My only "game" is Flight Simulator. And I want to be ready for Vista.

They are all pretty cheap. Which one to buy, brand and version? The
Gigabyte is interesting because it has passive cooling so is quiet.
Sapphire seems to be the most popular. Any suggestions appreciated.

FWIW, an X1300 is NOT a Dx10 card. It's a DX9 card. You may have already
known that though.

I just upgraded from an Asus X600Pro to an X1300 VisionTek PCIe. It's
basically the same speed as the X600Pro I had but has some added features
that I wanted like SM3 and a cool Video converter.

I would not have even bothered getting an X1300 had I not found it on Ebay
for something like $30.

I will upgrade to a Dx10 in about 4 months and spend a good sum for a decent
Dx10 card for Vista and it's games.

If you do not want to wait for Dx10 then I would suggest you spend $20-$30
more for an X1600 as it is twice as fast as an X1300.

Good luck on what you decide.

X1300XT is the fastest of the three.
But the 1300 series has only 4 pipelines.
Find something like a used X800XL, older, but has 16 pipelines.

Agreed;looks like FSX is going to require some horsepower. In the demo I
have to back off
the sliders even with my 7800gtx and 2gigs ram.
