We are working on a ppt file, and after save the document, on we re-open it
the charts (linked or not) was substituted per a red X.

if we double click on it, the chart appears, but...just until re-open.

the pictures dont appear again.

how to solve it?
it is for today.

If images (like jpg) show up fine, it sounds like you don't have write access
to the "Temporary Internet Files"
folder (or it even doesn't exist). PowerPoint caches the image of a chart
object in-there. Open the Windows registry, go to
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders" and check the "Cache" value. You might want to set it to
something like "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files".
