hi, just wondering if anyone knows how to alter the values
at the bottom of a line chart? i have a set of data and
need to start the set of data from 16-30 without much
luck! as opposed from 1 -15! anyone help??

If you did not specify category labels in a chart, Excel will just
assume you want 1, 2, etc. Presumably you have the numbers 16-30 in a
range. The best thing to have done, and to do in the future, is to put
the category (X-axis) data in a column just left of the Y value columns,
put labels at the top of the Y data and a blank atop the X data, select
the range and make your chart. The blank cell helps Excel decide what to
do with your data.

If you didn't include the X values but they exist on a worksheet, select
the chart, and choose Source Data from the Chart menu. Click on the
Series tab, select the first series, click in the box for Category
labels, then select the range with these values.

If it's a line chart, that's all you need to do. If it's an XY Scatter
chart, you have to designate X values for each series.
