I have a laptop Tosh Sat pro with WY2K sp4 that I use when not travelling
with an external Accuratus ACK-295w keyboard and mouse.....Have just added
an MS optical intellimouse and added the intellpoint 4.0
software...Rebooted..

I now have no mouse or keyboard when I get to the CTRL-ALT-DEL window so
unable to continue.
If I power off and on I have keyboard function #(both external and internal)
at the initial boot where the bios set password uis prompted, but not once
windows loads to its login window as above.

Have tried booting without external kb and mouse but makes no difference..
Have tried safe mode, the repair options and have tried re-installing (not a
clean install) as i have alot of programs installed and do not ideaaly wish
to have to re-install them all, all this makes no difference. The re-install
got to the section where the input locales etc ae chosen, but I could not
choose any as I had not functioning KB or mouse......A reboot just continues
this set-up where it left off......

Can anyone help or advise.........

Sure I didn't have issues like this under Win 98.....

Thanks

.

It appears to be a MS screwup. This article will help, I
hope: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;257729&Product=win2000

I would also suggest you uninstall Version 5 of
InttelliPoint and install V 3.2. There is also a version
between these that was offered online by MS, but I guess
they have replaced it with V5.
