WXPP: Can I set the Administrator password?

A default install of WXPP SP2 seems not to have set a password for the
Administrator account. This seem slike a huge hole in XPP's security. I have
just tried to set it using My Computer->Manage but I get loads of warnings in
the dialogues suggesting that if I go ahead and click "OK" the computer may
never work again.
Is it safe to set a password for the Administrator account or will I break
something?

If you want to change the password without getting those warnings, log on as
that account ("Administrator") and hit ctrl-alt-del and choose Change
password.

When you install XP Pro, part of the setup process is to prompt you to et
the administrator password. I'm not sure why this option didn't come up for
you: perhaps the setup you were using had been partially automated?

All you have to do is goto

Start Menu > Run > (type in) control userpasswords

click on your user

Change my password

and then change it
