Hi everyone.

I am a help desk technician using remote assistance to connect on users
Pc's. The application works perfectly on almost every computers of the
domain except for a few of them.

Here are 2 issues with the application that I could'nt find any
solutions. Please note that thoses problems never occurs on all the
PC's.

Remember that all the computers are affected by the same GPO's/rules.

1 - When connected via remote assistance, I am unable to see nothing
called JAVA. In exemple, any applications in JAVA appears to me as a
big white and empty box but, the user perfectly see something in it. It
only occur one e few PC's.

2 - On only one computer, I am not able to send the "Take Control"
option. I press the button but the user never receive the message so, I
am able to see everything but, never able to take control.

Do someone ever heard about thoses issuew with the XP remote assistance
?

Thank you for your time and have a great day !!

I've never seen these problems - but that's partly because XP Remote
Assistance is way down the list of products I'd use for remote
helpdesk. My company's software (www.plethoratech.com) provides a
consistent, secure, portable solution for remote helpdesk, as well as
other features like messaging, file transfer, and tunneling. There are
also other products out there that might be better suited for LAN-only
helpdesk. I'd recommend getting away from built-in MS tools just as a
general rule - they may be "free" but you pay for them, no doubt about
it.

Let me know if you'd like more info.

Thanks,
Joel Haspel
