WWM 2.1 closes

Good day .
I downloaded the service pack 2 which updated my WMM to version 2.1
Now when I open it ,, it comes up with the infamous "...Windows movie maker
has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
incovenience.... etc etc "
PLEASE HELP !!
