WVT fails to restart - 5744 x86 or x64

The screen turns black but the PC box stays on. I have to push the
power button to once turn off then push it again to restart. VIA KT800
chip set is used for the motherboard(MSI K8T Master2 FAR). Is there a
remedy for this problem?
