A few printers allow printing on both sides of paper while with others
it is an involved process. I want a new MFP so now need to know "How to
print on both sides of paper", can anyone help me? Thanks to all. Bobby

I'd always read it as "want to deal." Yeah, that made it look peculiar
posted in contexts like this. And I see now that Google only gives about
four hits for that notion, compared to a gazillion for "wanted."

Btw, the result I got from groups.google for the newsgroups list where
WTD was most found in the subject.

uk.adverts.computer.*
alt.video.tape-trading.*
alt.music.bootlegs
alt.warez.uk

Actually, I was just guessing. Never noticed any WTD's untill a small
discussion started on the subject yesterday. Don't think there's any need
for WTD's in ACF.

From my side of the world:
http://www.google.com/groups?as_usubject=wtd&lr=&hl=nl
gives me:

van.forsale
rec.music.gdead
news.admin.net-abuse.sightings

Anyway, looks like vans with deadheads are breaking the law on large scale.

Wow, didn't know it'd be different, sort of thought they'd scan newsgroups
evenly?

Btw, I don't know how to reset to a different Google region settings.
(Yikes fo'shame need to buy "Google for Dummies.") When I got hit with
that awful beta-groups thing, I'd changed interface language to French
(with search prefs English), as means to avoid the beta disaster. It
didn't occur to me to try setting to a different region, and not sure
where to find the master list.

Heh. So I get UK'ers watching home videos and swapping warez. And you get
cruising vans full of deadheads. Quite a pic. :)

Aha, we woke some people up with WTD, eh? Yes, I too saw it a few
entries ago and mused that this is a weird change to said group but, I
tried it. "can you PLEASE put a WTD: in front of you request, such as
WTD: bighairydog, not everyone wants to read your request message."

Any hoots, I'm using windows (98se, 2k and xp) and I find HP and also
Laser printers tend to offer Duplex printing (mayhap manually) for both
sides to be printed on. See, I am considering Brother MFC-5440cn with a
small document feeder which would suffice for printing the odd pages
then inverting stack for the even pages. Finding a driver or software,
vs. hardware=too expensive, as FREE and unbuggy is my quest.
Thanks again, and me thinks I will chuck the WTD topic notation. Bobby

In my experience the Brother printers that can duplex like this
(manually) include an option in the printer driver to print only the
odd or even pages. No additional software is needed.

I think this will even work across the network -- for example, the
printer is physically attached to your 98se box, and you want to print
duplex from your xp system -- if you install the printer driver on
both systems. But it's been a long time since I've done this, and I
have no direct experience with that model number. You might try
researching this at the Brother web site.

Also, this capability is built into some apps -- eg, all the <OT>
Microsoft office apps (Word, Excel, etc.) </OT>.

Some idiot a few posts up asked people to put WTD on their software
request posts. I guess Bobby R. was only trying to do what was asked as
we're told time and again to stick with the newsgroup protocol if you
want an answer.

Terry; thank You for your Info. sharing. Interesting stuff. It is
ever so hard to trust salesman that product will do what we want...
"the Big print giveth...and the small print taketh away".

Maybe we should introduce them to each other.

I like that idea. Should we give the deadheads the home addresses of
select UK'ers, and send em there for free grub & place to crash?

Or should we rustle the UK'ers out of their enclaves, and into the
deadhead vans, for a long, strange trip into the shmoke?

The latter, going on the quest for the magic 8-track.
