Hi!

Workstations with Win'98 and Win2K cann't see shared disks
at the Win2K server through a time from starting. Win2K
stations can reconnect momentally at the asking, but
Win'98 had to restart for access to shares.
Also, at the morning WS cann't access to shares before
reboot.
What's the problem?

Got WINS installed on the server? Options 044 and 046 (0x8) in the Scope
options of DHCP-server?

No. Where is no WINS, DHCP, DNS services at the server.
Had I to install such services to resolves the problem?

Yep, install DHCP, DNS and WINS on the server. It's a no-brainer if you set
the clients to obtain an IP and DNS automatically from the DHCP-server.
How many nics in the server?
In DHCP-server you will have to set options 003, 006 and 015 too.

Sorry, my clients have fixed addresses, don't using DHCP.

Vladimir,

If you want your network to correct properly without problems, install
DHCP-server. It will push the DNS and WINS-settings too.
I only use static IP's for servers, printers and routers.
