wsftp relacement for use with cable modem

Just upgraded to high speed broadband and tried to upload some files
to my web site. Apparently Norwich' WSFTP LE will not work with a
cable modem.
Is there any FTP file transfer freeware out there that I can use to
replace WSFTP-LE???? thanks!

Your FTP client should not care as to using cable or dial-up.

It may be that your current provider is blocking incoming ports. Try passive
mode.

I use ftp studio free and I'm on cable.

I have the a similar problem. I can't get Ipswitch's wsftp v5.08 LE to
upload to my NTL World (Set-top box cable modem. 128k) site. I keep
getting 'file locked' and 'out of memory' errors. However, I have no
probs with FTP Explorer.

i have a dsl or dedicated connection and usually upload with wsftp-le.
sometimes it crashes, but i blame it on server errors rather than the line.

anyway a really good program i often use, free for personal use and more
modern than wsftp, is smart ftp
