I am not a developer, but I think you're the only option
left to figure this out - I keep getting an error code
10093: "Successful WSAStartup not yet performed" when I
try ot install Linksys wireless card - happens every
time. I have seen a description for it in the MSFT
Knowledgebase, but no suggestions on how to make it go
away. Any non-technical suggestions?

-=Non=- technical? Return the card, get one that works? Contact Linksys
support?

Seriously, you need to provide much more information than what you have.
For starters, what operating system are you running? What Linksys wireless
card? Does this error message occur when installing the drivers or when you
use it?

My first guess is that the Linksys software is looking for a version of
Winsock which doesn't exist on your system. You're not running Windows 95
(without the Winsock 2 update) by any chance, are you?

Using Win 2000 Pro. It is a Linksys Wireless B Notebook
Adapter brand new out of the box. Have called Linksys,
but they say it is Operating system error. Fact is, it
worked for several days until I started getting the
error. Uninstalled and now when I try to reinstall, I get
the message when the drivers are installing. I can get
another wireless router/adapter, but not sure if there is
a larger problem here and it will happen again.

Hmm...do you have an available WAP with DHCP enabled turned on and within
range?

Have you tried using different programs to reproduce the message? Is it
when you go to a website? Ping?
