wrong wireless "unsecure" message?

Once in a while the wireless network icon would pop up a balloon saying
wireless networking is connected (unsecure) even though the router and
laptop are both set up to use WPA. When I open the wireless networks
available list, I see that it is indeed secure (WPA). Why the "unsecure"
message?

This is on winXP pro.

I see this regularly on my hone 802.11n network. Sometimes this can
be cause by my anti-virus system. Other times, this can be caused by
my router being restarted (by itself.) As long it does not stay
"unsecured," I believe we may have to "live with it."

I've never seen this here on a whole bunch of N routers from various
vendors. What AV are you using that causes this?

Hi
It could be that at times your Wireless signal quality degrades and the
Wireless card is trying to connect to another Wireless sources in the
neighborhood that is Not secured.
Open the Wireless Menus, and clean the preferred list form any unneeded
entry.

D-Link DIR-615 B2 and Norton 360 v2.0. Just replaced the Norton this
past Sunday.

Norton will never be in the same room as any of my computers. If it
is indeed causing your issue, only Norton can come up with a fix. If
you want to try a different AV to see if the issue clears, then you
would know for sure it is that product. But if you want to live with
it, so be it.
