Anyone,
When I provide a static route via DHCP option 33 from the
DHCP server, the Win 2000 clients sets the wrong subnet
mask. The subnet mask is set to 255.255.255.255 (host
route)instead of setting the appropriate mask for the
classful network.
The only thing I can find in the Knowledge Base is
article 261489 (Incorrect Subnet Mask and Options
Assigned from Windows NT 4.0 DHCP Server).
This is not the problem since all other non-windows
clients sets the static route with the correct mask,
and the DHCP option packet format is also conforming
to RFC2132 Static Route Option (33).
All Win2000 clients are running Service Pack 3.
Has anyone run into this problem or have the
DHCP option 33 working?
Thanks
