wrong keyboard functions

Hello!!!

I am working on a computer with Windows and Office XP. I
am having a problem with PowerPoint, when I try to delete
text with the delete key nothing happens, when I try using
the backspace key a rectangle is inserted?? There are one
or two other keys which are not reacting normally.I have
checked all other office programs and they are running as
they should.

Has anyone any ideas??

This was discussed many moons ago, but never fully resolved. In the
examples I saw, it usually corrected with a reboot, at least for a while
(days/weeks). There was some discussion about causes and solutions, but I
think it involved jacking up the monitor and replacing everything else.

Microsoft article 821432 may give you some insight, but
getting the patch may prove to be difficult.

I think that hotfix might be a little easier to get now.
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=821432 explains to call MS for it.
