Wrong Folder Size

When I Point My Mouse on Any Folder/File/Document.... etc... It Gives Me The Exact and Real Size by: Bites, kb, MB or GB
But
When I Go To View/ Status Bar.. The Status Bar is Giving Wrong Size Figures !!.......
Why is That ? and How Can I Get It Fixed?? ( I've Got Windows XP Pro

The status bar total is for loose files only. Subfolders are not included.

So, to see the aggregate of all sizes for files and subfolders, select
all the files and subfolders, right-click, Properties. Or, right-click
on the parent folder and look at its Properties.
