wrong folder icons

The folder icons on my computer are lemons. When I try to change the icon in
the
folder options under file type, it puts in a lemon icon instead of the
traditional "folder" icon that was selected. I tried this with the closed
folder icon, and it gives a red dot icon. How can I change these back to
what they are supposed to be, and why are they wrong in the firat place?

Someone at your house installed an icon theme. When I Googled "icons are
lemons" I got two websites with lemon icons connected with the AOL
Instant Messenger. Both sites tried to run a program on my machine and
opened various links and then closed Firefox. Since I use Linux,
nothing untoward happened to my system. Since you use Windows, I
strongly suggest that you scan your computer for viruses and malware.

I would start by going to Add/Remove Programs and see if you can
uninstall the icon theme. Then follow these steps:

Then have a talk with your children (or whoever) about what a Bad Idea
it is to click on links and/or install programs they get in their
Instant Messaging client.
