wrong boot screen

i downloaded a theme and after awhile i changed back to windows xp theme but
the horrible boot screen of the old theme won't go away. I also downloaded a
new boot screen to use but don't know where to put it please help. the new
boot screen is a ".bootscreen" file if that helps.
